Aleksander Stempkowski, my maternal grandfather, emigrated from Wolka-Rydzewska, a Polish village near Ciechanow and Glinojeck. He settled in Northampton, Hampshire County, Massachusetts. Aleksander married Maryanna Fabiszak (Fabisak), a daughter of Stanislaw Fabiszak and Adamina Stankiewicz Fabiszak. Surnames connected to my Stempkowski ancestry are Rogowski and Nawrocki.
